About

We're here to help you manage your pain, enhance function, and unlock greater mobility for you to move freely.

Our mission is to facilitate stepping out of your painful body, and into the body that gives your life meaning and joy.

Our Values

01
Results Driven
Being able to accurately quantify results is an important part of treatment. That’s why we use a test/retest philosophy, to identify which treatment strategies are best suited for each patient.
02
Tailored Solutions
All physiotherapy appointments are offered with a registered physiotherapist. During these appointments, your practitioner will have lots of time to address any questions or concerns, ensuring you receive the best possible treatment plan.

03
Hands-On Approach
Manual physiotherapy puts you in the driver’s seat of your own recovery. Not only does it help patients manage and overcome pain, it also empowers them to live life to its fullest potential.
04
Recovery Oriented
Determining the root cause of any problem begins with our thorough patient onboarding process. Once we have all the information, we can begin to map out a clear plan for treatment. Follow-up visits are one-on-one, individual, and hands-on.

She has a certificate in Acupuncture from Acupuncture Canada as well as Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) from the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain, both of which are types of dry needling.
In 2007, she co-founded Parkway Physiotherapy in Victoria, BC, later moving to Cornwall to start a family in 2014. Constantly seeking to broaden her knowledge, Shannon offers boundless insight into the physiotherapy industry.

Stephen Shaffer
Registered Physiotherapist
PT, ScD, FCAMPT, FAAOMPT

Stephen began clinical practice in 2003. He graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from Nazareth College and later went on to complete residency, fellowship, and academic doctoral training in Advanced Orthopaedics. In addition to clinical practice, Stephen is a researcher with experience on topics related to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), advanced practice physiotherapy rights, physiotherapy research integrity, and pain science education in physiotherapy training programs. He also has experience teaching both professional and post-professional courses on a wide array of physiotherapy topics and is currently an Adjunct Professor in the post-professional Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program at Hartford University.
Stephen is a credentialed Fellow (FCAMPT & FAAOMPT) through the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT). These credentials are the highest attainable clinical certifications in orthopaedic physiotherapy. In his free time, Stephen is a Research Committee member for AAOMPT and the Team Leader for the AAOMPT Podcast, which is an ongoing interview show that addresses a wide range of topics related to orthopaedics. He also serves as a peer reviewer for multiple scientific journals. In October 2021 he was featured in the book, Movers & Mentors: Leaders in Movement Science Share Tips, Tactics, and Stories
While proud of all of his professional accomplishments, the thing that truly drives Stephen is helping people get better. This deep seeded passion stems from a lifelong process of helping his brother, who has cerebral palsy, traverse this world in the best way possible. As a result of being a caregiver early in his life, Stephen learned the value of helping others. That theme carried forward well into the physiotherapy profession.
